Natural spectaculars
Famous gaps from the Hungarian history are the Uzsok Pass and the Verecke Pass.
A fine example of the natural spectaculars of the Foot of the Carpathian Mountains is the Sipot Waterfall not far from the Verecke Pass. Originating from the snow-caps of Borzsava, the streams and creeks swell as the snow melts in spring and the 14 metres waterfall looks magic. Folkloric and art festivals are held here every year in the beginning of July.
